Clayton Wheat
Clayton joined the firm in October 2024. Before then, Clayton partnered in or worked with nationally recognized oil and gas law firms in Houston & San Antonio, and as a landman in the Uintah Basin and Eagle Ford Shale. Clayton is licensed to practice law in Texas (Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Section) and North Dakota (Real Property, Trusts, and Probate Section). Clayton grew up in Sugar Land, Texas.
Clayton’s extensive oil and gas experience has been focused on leasing, regulatory & acquisition issues, and title opinions. He is a member of the Houston Producer’s Forum, Houston Association for Professional Landmen, West Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen, and the Sons of the Republic of Texas.
