Jack Shumake

Jack’s practice focuses on oil and gas title examination and due diligence related to acquisitions and divestitures of upstream assets. He has experience preparing drilling, division order, and supplemental title opinions across Texas, including substantial work in the Permian Basin. Jack has also analyzed leasehold production and operations to assess lease perpetuation through the secondary term. In 2024, he assisted the Texas General Land Office with one of the largest land acquisitions in Texas state history.

Jack earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston and holds a B.A. in History with a Business Foundations Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin. He is licensed to practice law in Texas.
