Kevin McDaniel

Kevin earned his B.A. in International Studies (Pre-Law) from The University of Miami (FL) and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law. Following law school, he worked initially as an independent petroleum landman and then spent nine years as an in-house landman for a Houston-based startup operator. He was a land team leader for a drilling program that over a multi-year period drilled ~400 horizontal wells in the Midland basin. Kevin drafted and negotiated Purchase and Sale Agreements, Joint Operating Agreements, assignments, leases, deeds, surface agreements, term assignments, seismic permits, and other industry contracts.

Along with this cradle to grave land experience, he was an attorney for a highly recognized Houston-based oil and gas law firm prior to joining RFH. Kevin has drafted acquisition, drilling, division order, and supplemental title opinions. He is licensed to practice law in Texas.

Kevin is a member of the Oil and Gas Law Section of the Texas Bar, the Houston Association of Professional Landmen, and a Registered Professional Landman with the American Association of Professional Landmen.
