
Lauren Trotter
Lauren is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, having devoted the majority of her legal career to this sector. She joined the firm in September 2025, bringing with her a strong background in title law and transactional matters. Prior to joining the firm, Lauren served as a title attorney at a Houston-based oil and gas law firm and worked within the land departments of several major upstream exploration and production companies. Her expertise spans a broad range of transactions, including the acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas properties, title examination, curative work, and due diligence.
Lauren earned her law degree from Howard University School of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in Washington, DC, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism before pursuing her legal studies. She is licensed to practice law in both Texas and New Mexico and is an active member of the Oil and Gas Law Section of the Texas Bar.
In addition to her focus on oil and gas law, Lauren has experience practicing immigration and employment law. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Lauren’s connection to the oil and gas industry runs deep, influenced by her mother’s career as a revenue accountant for several oil and gas companies.
